A day at Vapiano Amsterdam

It was such a nice surprise when Vapiano Amsterdam Rembrandtplein‘s manager, Karlijn invited me in to give me a tour and to let me enjoy cooking my own pizza and pasta while I was in Amsterdam..

Well, I surely accepted the invitation because first of all Vapiano is a restaurant that I’ve already ate couple of times in Istanbul & Belgrade and I like their concept. Second, I professionally find it exciting that they can serve the exact same quality and taste in different countries. Since we are not talking about factorized burgers & fries but we are talking about pasta, pizza &salad which are freshly prepared right at the place, it is quite a big issue when you think that they have 150 restaurants worlwide.. I had the chance to see the backstage and I understood how. Italian Cuisine meets with German dicipline&system:)

Mike gave me 1 hour of a lesson about coffee -he has knowledge and passion to tell and teach about coffee for a nonstop 48hours- but I decided to quit my career on the top right after preparing my own cappuccino with some art on it..:)

After the coffee lesson, it was time to get in the kitchen. I cooked my own pasta and pizza with Vapiano’s recipes. I still am not sure if Karlijn was trying to be kind to me or it was real, but she told that I was quite good for a first timer:)

Here are the photos of my day in Vapiano.

Cheers.
